NLSA Accreditation
The evidence based accreditation process requires our school to identify evidence and practices pertaining to each indicator. The significance of the evidence and its impact results in a high indicator rating by the school. Through this, the EBA process removes the subjective nature of what we hope to become and requires realistic, objective evaluation our current strengths, accomplishments, and areas to grow.
Every five years a self-study process is completed and then validated by a visiting team comprised of educators and other individuals invented in the growth our our school.
The areas of focus include: purpose, relationships, professional personnel, governance, student services, teaching and learning, facilities, and finance. Each of these areas have extensive rubrics to consider and provide evidence for as the school works through the self-study process.
This process is recognized by the Oklahoma Private School Accrediting Commission (OPSAC). OPSAC assists the State Board of Education by assuring the educational quality and compliance with applicable rules by recognized, accredited private schools through the state of Oklahoma. This helps us at Messiah strive for high academic standards and allows our school to be eligible for grants and scholarships that include the Oklahoma Parent Choice Tax Credit and Opportunity Scholarship Fund awards.
